I want to share with you my experiences on decoration, design, and my recent projects, which include kitchens, baths, and other prominent rooms found in all of our homes. I will tell you why I recommend certain products and include my thoughts on trends and new ideas. Decoration and design is vastly interesting yet can also be quite complex. Clients’ specific needs for their kitchens, baths, bedrooms, and leisure rooms are all unique. Designing custom furniture, custom reupholstering of furniture, flooring, bedding and window treatments all require a focused attention to detail, which I will explain in future blogs. Like any complex subject, it is impossible to know everything there is to know with each design category. Early on, enduring unprofessional behavior and questionable workmanship by many contracting specialists such as plumbers, electricians, painters, and upholsterers, experience has led me to be very particular about who works for me. Because of this I have assembled a very select team of professionals that I have worked with for the past 10 years, with some approaching 20 years. My contractor Andy, seamstress Susan, tiling, carpeting, and Tina at Hallman for custom furniture, to name a few, form my team of specialists to help me bring my designs to light. We all work to ensure that my designs for you will beautifully come together. Our common goal is to ensure that the client is thrilled when their project, large or small, is complete.
