The gray and cream palette that runs throughout the first floor creates a calm environment for this busy family of five, and two dogs. A new and expanded mahogany front door, as well as the original oak floors, were stained a rich brown creating warmth with the high ceilings in the middle of the house. That treatment, along with new stair railings, bring a simple sophistication to the space. The sofas, chairs and ottoman were custom designed. The mirror above the mantel brings the eye up and lightens the space. A custom wall unit is dressed at the top with a variety of baskets connecting the color and texture to the hallway above. Tall drapes make the room feel cozy. More photos to come.
